Care

Living with a hand-applied finish.

Most care comes down to a soft cloth and mild products. After every project we leave care notes written for the specific material in your home.

Venetian plaster

Do

  • Dust with a soft, dry cloth
  • Wipe marks with a damp cloth and mild soap where waxed or sealed
  • Renew wax in busy areas when it looks dull

Avoid

  • Abrasive pads or powders
  • Solvent or ammonia cleaners
  • Taping directly onto a fresh wall in the first weeks

Roman clay

Do

  • Dust gently with a soft brush or cloth
  • Blot spills quickly on sealed areas
  • Keep labeled leftover material for touch-ups

Avoid

  • Scrubbing unsealed surfaces
  • Harsh cleaners
  • Hanging art with adhesive strips

Limewash

Do

  • Dust with a soft brush
  • Spot-clean with plain water and a soft sponge
  • Refresh worn areas with a new coat, blended in

Avoid

  • Scrubbing or wet wiping large areas
  • Detergents
  • Pressure washing exterior limewash

Microcement

Do

  • Clean with a pH-neutral cleaner
  • Squeegee showers after use
  • Renew the protective sealer as advised for your system

Avoid

  • Bleach, acids or limescale removers
  • Abrasive pads
  • Dragging heavy furniture without pads

Touch-ups

Small marks are usually repairable.

Lime finishes can be touched up locally and blended. Microcement can be repaired and resealed. A repair is closest in color when made with the same batch, so keep the labeled leftover material we hand over.

Warranty terms are written into your estimate.
